In other news...

There's (what I think is) a review of Osaka Samurai up here.  I don't really like how Kiriyan looks in that picture, but I think that's largely due to the angle of her head.  You can't see her topknot so it makes her look bald -_-  Will attempt to see what I can get out of it after I finish posting.  I'm really hoping that this show is good.  And that there's aisle dancing.  *has an aisle seat for one performance ^_^*

Edit: I focused in on the third paragraph.  That seemed to be pretty positive.  Still am worried that I won't be able to understand anything, but hey, it's tsukigumi.

Tonight's Takarazuka Cafe Break was Asaka Manato, who played Akechi Kogorou in the Black Lizard shinjikoen.  From the short clips I saw, she still has that shinjikouen roughness around the edges, but I was impressed.  I really hope that “Propose” ends up as a Takarazuka standard cause I’d really like to hear as many different siennes as possible sing it.  Hanagumi was lucky enough to be blessed with some very good music in that show.

Actually, it sounds a lot more interesting than I thought it would.

Plus.... Maggie as a villian? *_* You don't know exactly how much joy this just brought me.

Is it August yet? Can I have the DVD now? Or perhaps fly to Japan and steal a certain ticket from someone?

Maggie's gonna be a villain? Cool!

Remind me to lock my door when I'm sleeping. Or a least to sleep with my Osaka Samurai tickets under the pillow XD

Apparently, according to that article XD.

"Also, only the villain-like Amano Genba, played by Seijou Kaito, argues unappologetically with Kiriya; even dignity is set adrift"

Your tickets are quite safe <3 Perhaps it's a good thing you're half a world / a 14 + hour flight away XD

Makku-san! <3 I like her more now that she's nodded and smiled at me on practically a regular basis. From the little I've seen of the Kurotokage shinko, she seems to have grown up quite a bit since the Marrakech shinko in which she played opposite my Ayane-chan, although of course she has still a way to go. I can't wait to hear her Propose properly... not to mention Tommy's! <3 I don't really know Shiratori Kasuga, the shinko Namikoshi, because she's such a recent transfer from Moon. But I stood next to her fans a couple of times and they seemed nice.

Is Sky Stage eventually going to do a Black Lizard shinjikouen digest? Or even a full version? That would be cool.

[identity profile] shirabyoshi.livejournal.com 2007-05-21 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, there'll be a digest sometime this year. It'll be broadcast in conjunction with the shinko talk, during which, if you look very closely, you might see the back of my head.

I hope for a full version too, of course, but that'll probably take two years. Maybe even three if they're feeling stingy.

You're going to have to screencap the back of your head for us when it comes out :D

I didn't realize that Hankyu was even releasing full versions of shinjikoen these days. So even if it takes a while, cool!

The most recent full shinko I have from Sky Stage is... Nagasaki Shigurezakaa, I think. That was 2005. The most recent digest I have is Ryoma-den, so touch wood the waiting time for Kurotokage won't be vexingly long. :D

The reason shinko digests are now showing up so quickly is that TCA has given up releasing them commercially the way it used to. The same goes for Bow Halls; if they decide not to put them on DVD, they turn up on Sky Stage instead within a couple of months, e.g. Hallelujah GO! GO! and Scout. I'm not sure how they calculate which Bow Halls are going to bring in sufficiently serious money on DVD. Maybe they just draw straws.
