Cleverly Disguised as a Responsible Adult

In the midst of other stuff I almost forgot to mention: I joined Tomo no Kai! 

Well, at least I sent in the forms.  I had a Japanese friend help me fill them out.  After tickets instantly sold out for A-“R”ex, I realized that it was probably going to be the same for Aka to Kuro and I decided that I was sick of having to pay scalpers.  I’m crossing my fingers that the forms get processed without any problems.  Knock on wood, I think the first show I’ll be able to get tickets for through them will be Dawn Wind. 

Of course, I’m pretty terrified of having to buy tickets via the phone.  I’m guessing I would pay by credit card?  But ack…I am not looking forward to having to figure out how to give my credit card information over the phone.  I wonder if they would do a direct withdrawal from my bank account?  Strangely, that sounds easier. 

But hey, regardless, hello my 5% discount on DVDs and CDs!

I also did some homework into what it would take for me to get Sky Stage hooked up at my apartment, and I think it requires a digital satellite (as opposed to my regular one that gives me standard Sky Perfect service).  Worse than that, though, it requires a digital TV, and that’s the killer.  Even if I planned on living in Japan for the rest of my life, those things are waaaaaaay more than expensive than I could ever afford.

I realize that most Sky Stage customers are middle aged housewives who can afford this sort of thing, but I wish Hankyu had created Sky Stage as part of a service that didn’t require such a significant investment.
