Hizuki Hana's retirement

Couldn't help but write a little something about this.  It's sad, but I'm not surprised. 

On an up note, marriage proposals to Ume-chan can start post-retirement.  There's already a queue, but if you hurry you may get a spot in line that's in sight of the Hana no Michi.

Seriously though, I'm glad she was able to come back to soragumi to finish up her career.  I'm sure as an OG she will continue to be stunning.

Now my only hope is either Alice or Miwa Asahi to be Musume top.

Agreed completely. It's much kinder not to get our hopes up in these sorts of cases.

Strange to think that there will be *four* new musumeyaku tops this year. But it's nice to see new talent get promoted as well.

Don't get me wrong, both Mizu and Ume-chan are very talented Takarasiennes, but I can't see them together as a combi somehow. I wouldn't have complained about Ume + Chie, though...

Hmm...I don't know how to put it. There's something about Mizu that's very serious, and that's why I feel she does well with really elegant musumeyaku like Tonami. Ume-chan is more the cute/spunky type. (Obviously both Tonami and Ume-chan are very talented, just in different ways).

That being said, I'd certainly be open to the idea of Mizu/Ume-chan in an alternate universe. If anything, it would have been interesting to see how that would have made Ume-chan grow as a performer.
