matataku_hoshi: (Micchan and Tomu)

Photoshop much? -_-;

So we have our first image for Casablanca, and er...it's a little too photoshopped for my taste -_-;  It'll be interesting to see what the actual poster will look like.  ETA: Never mind, as [livejournal.com profile] quinquin  pointed out they posted the actual poster five minutes later here.

We also now officially know that Tomu will be playing Victor Laszlo, Ilsa (Sumika)'s husband.  This was kind of a no-brainer IMO.  (Keep in mind that Tomu and Sumika interacted in their hanagumi years.  Sumika played Tomu's girlfriend in "Scout")

I really am curious what they're going to do with the casting (and not just with Micchan).  With two senka members in the cast, it really could go a bunch of different ways.  *sigh* I guess I'll just have to wait for shuugoubi, which should be sometime in the second half of September.

I'm expecting that it'll be Yuuhi, Tomu, and Sumika at the press conference tomorrow.  I worry sometimes about Micchan falling off the radar (she hasn't been on a poster in a while), but I'm really excited about this show and I'm choosing not to dwell on it too much now :)

Poster is up:

Looks like the photoshopper decided to remove the faces almost completely :-(. Hopefully they've gone full circle on the photoshopping now.

My problem is that Yuuhi is not only photoshopped to the point you can barely recognize her, but she's also extremely washed out. I suppose the intended effect was to make it look like an old photograph, but personally I think Yuuhi looks more like a ghost.

Tomu is also washed out/overly photoshopped, but not quite as badly. Sumika is almost acceptable looking.

All of that being said, I love the plane at the top. It's such an iconic part of the movie.

Eugh.... that's a horrible picture. They went crazy with the smudge and blur tool.

They kind of did -_-; You can hardly recognize Yuuhi.

*laughs* I love it! I was all hyper and excited and making all my co-workers look at it when I saw it earlier.

*laughs and pats Jen on the head*

Out of curiosity (since you seem to be the minority opinion), what do you like about it?

Of all pictures so far, this one is my favourite:

And it looks about exactly like Last Party. ;)

It's also a bit Hollywood Lover-ish ;)

I agree that one looks better, but I still feel like it's too "ghostly."

Harada-san told me possibly October 1st for shuugoubi. Mid-September would give Phoenix 2 cast no break. :\

Ah, actually, that would make sense. Daigekijou rehearsal periods are about six weeks, right?

And that way even Micchan would get a little bit of a break. The poor girl started Ooeyama rehearsals immediately after BaraAme raku, and started dinner show rehearsals two days after Ooeyama raku.
