Takarazuka has a thing against hopelessly unhappy endings, and killing off everyone you love is kinda a downer. :P I can't say I much like them either, even if I do prefer tragedies.
Personally I think Masatsuka is much better at Bows instead of Daigekijou shows. Even though I *like* some of his Daigekijou shows *cough*StellaMaris*cough*, he has trouble writing more than a handful of characters and/or plots, so he's really not suited to 85-person casts.
