Valencia:
I think it was
wao_wao who said that the characters were pretty stock, and I agree. But the costumes were nice, the music was decent enough, and there was some really cool choreography (especially Tani and Ume-chan's pair dance in the middle...cool lift!). Tani has grown up, and I was proud to see my former tsukigumi-sei as a top star. I think her voice has improved. I think I may be really falling in love with Ume-chan, who was just smoldering.
I was a little surprised that Micchan and Tomu got pretty much equal stage time, but I think someone mentioned that the show was originally written for a trio that had an Asa/Kiriyan/Yuuhi dynamic. And hey, I'm not complaining, I loved the whole Spanish Three Musketeers thing. I may try to see the role switch when the show comes to Tokyo. This was my first time seeing Tomu and I think I liked her.
The ending...the parts with Tani and Ume-chan were fine, but the part with Micchan? It was a little...the only thing I can think of in response is "Chotto..."
Cosmos Fantasista:
I think this definitely beats out I Love Chopin in terms of crack, and if it doesn't beat out Cocktail, it definitely ties it. The only reason it doesn't win over Blue Moon Blue is because of the bunny ears. It was fun, though, in an extremely crack-ish way. I think I might need to wait until I see it again to really evaluate it, because I think I spent most of the time with my eyebrows really high. And trying to imagine a bunch of Japanese sitting around in a boardroom going "Yes...we need a Cosmic Taxi." I wonder if they're trying to turn Tani into the next Mami in terms of crack...
My favorite scene was the Mars one. Once again, Ume smoldered. Chigi was very cute as the cosmic taxi driver.

Okay, need to start moving. Coming up in part three: Becca visits the Salon de Takarazuka museum.
