1. Right at this moment, soragumi is performing Casablanca for the final time.  I'm excited about their next round of projects (and it's not like I've seen the show since early December), but I still feel a little sad.  I really loved Casablanca, and I'm so grateful I got to see it live.

2.  Shuugoubi for Shangri La is on Thursday, apparently.  There's something wrong with me (or rather I've gotten sadly accustomed to overworked soragumisei) when I think, "They get until Thursday off!"  Given that Shangri La starts in about a month, I was worried it was going to be one of those cases where okeiko began two days after Tokyo raku.  *sigh* I do hope they get a decent vacation sometime soon.

3. The end of January marked three years since I became a Takarazuka fan.  (Where exactly has the time gone...?)

That should mean that Je Chante shuugoubi is in the next couple of weeks too, right?

It'll probably be the following week, which is fitting since Je Chante starts performances about a week after Shangri La does <3

i just realized i didn't actually know this; but how many times do they perform in a day? i know with broadway it's 8 shows a week (evenings from tuesday - sunday with matinees on wednesday and saturday). i'm just curious to know how rehearsals factor in as well. i'm assuming they rehearse and perform on the same day? damn, that's some STAMINA!

There are ten performances in a week. Four days have two performances each, two days have one performance each, and then there's one day off (Wednesdays in Takarazuka, and Mondays in Tokyo).

For upperclassmen, the only time they would also have rehearsal on the same day of a performance would be if a special event was coming up (TCA Special, etc). However, they sometimes have other kinds of shigoto (work), like recording programs for Sky Stage or being photographed for Graph and Kageki. (Obviously the more popular and high ranking the sienne, the more time they spend doing this).

The shinjinkouen performance is typically several weeks into a Grand Theater show's run, both in Takarazuka and Tokyo. Up until that time underclassmen rehearse for that in addition to their regular performances. Rehearsals apparently go quite late, and it seems to be quite stressful (but then again, it's also a special opportunity for the underclassmen to shine)

happy anniversary! :)

Thank you <3

ohhh i see.

so i'm guessing "shuugoubi" is rehearsals? my apologies for being ignorant :p.

but damn, that is a tough schedule. i'll be hoping with you that they get decent vacay time soon. you can't go full-stop all the time, i should know.

Shuugoubi is 集合日. The first day of rehearsal after the short break. And it always goes with some good or bad announcements.

Time flies, doesn't it? (Though I wasted a lot by lurking for the first year and a half...)

Gnar, I was wondering when shuugoubi was with that familiar combination of excitement and dread.

Happy anniversary!

My club woke me at 8am this morning with iri time for Thursday...I was like: "IT'S NOT URGENT! YOU COULD HAVE WAITED AN HOUR UNTIL A NORMAL TIME OF DAY!"

Ahhh our poor girls...so overworked ;____; . Btw...I'm clipping parts of Casablanca Tomu-cha - is there anything in particular you wanted?
