Kiriya Hiromu-Roger from “Rent.” In her years of understudying Rika, Kiriyan has built up a gruff stage persona that I love (if you, er, haven’t figured it out already ^^;). She’d be able to convey both Roger’s bitterness and his passion. Just imagining her singing “Another Day” gives me chills. Unfortunately this one will never happen, as Rent is too gritty for Takarazuka. Although I have these fantasies of an outside production of Rent deciding to cast a female Roger…
Hokushou Kairi-Bill from “Me and My Girl.” Don’t get me wrong, I really, really enjoyed Asako’s performance. I’m also incredibly excited for Kiriyan’s run and I can’t wait to see her take on the character. But it occurred to me that Micchan would make a very good Bill. There’s just not that much difference between Bill’s crazy energy and Micchan’s. I think she would be a natural in the same way that Asako is now. Unfortunately for this particular fantasy of mine, MiiMai seems to be a tsuki only show and I don’t think Hankyu will revive it again for a long time.
Otozuki Kei: Going along with the Rent theme, I’d like to see Kimu try Mark from Rent. After all, her character in “Kimi wo Aishiteru” was similar in some ways ^^
Shirahane Yuri: I’d like to see Tonami tackle Carmen from “Jose and Carmen.” The only downside to this is that her performance would kill me, and then I would be dead. But I’d be a very happy ghost!
Aran Kei: Going with “Jose and Carmen” yet again, I think Touko would be a wonderful Jose. Theoretically this one could happen. Vocally it would be difficult to follow in the footsteps of Zunko, but if anyone could do it, it would be Touko.
