"Which would you pick?"
Kageki, May 2008
Question 1. If you were going to challenge yourself, would you…
- …go sky diving?
- …go scuba diving?
A. …be born as a man
B. …be born as a woman?
Matobu Sei
Answer to Question 1: Skydiving
I think sky diving. I’ve experienced scuba diving before and it was very pleasant, but after all is said and done, I want to try flying since I love the sky. I would fly straight! (laugh) How Matobu! (laugh) [Note: This is a pun on her name, 真飛. “Straight” is written using the 真 character and “fly” is written with the 飛 character].
Answer to Question 2: Born again as a woman
Because right now as an otokoyaku I’m already experiencing life as a man, if I could be born again, it would be as a woman. If I was born again as a woman, I would want to cute clothes, put on skirts, and walk down the street (laugh). I think that that kind of thing is cute when I see it in magazines and so on, but because I have nothing to do with it right now, I want to try experiencing living as a woman like that.

Answer to Question 1: Skydiving
I want to do sky diving again. I did skydiving before in
Answer to Question 2: Born again as a woman
As a woman. In that case even though I was born as a woman, if I was an otokoyaku I could be a man too (laugh).

Answer to Question 1: Skydiving
Because water isn’t my strong point (laugh), sky is better. From a long time ago I’ve always thought I’d like to try sky diving. The feeling of fear in the instant that you jump from that altitude …I’d like to try fighting it at least once.
Answer to Question 2: Born again as a man
Because now I’m a woman, I want to try being born as a man next. I would want to try doing various things, but when all is said and done…I would want to try watching Takarazuka. Seeing it from a man’s perspective, what would I think? (laugh)

Answer to Question 1: Skydiving
I’ve already gone scuba diving… I’ve already experienced diving numerous times and several years ago I acquired a license. Therefore if I was going to challenge myself, it would be with skydiving. It sounds a little scary, but I definitely want to try it.
Answer to Question 2: Born again as a man
Because I’m a woman now, I think next time being born as a man would be good. As a man, I’d like to try traveling the world alone. I’d like to try traveling various places throughout the world freely and as I pleased. After all is said and done, I think going as one likes as a woman is difficult.

Answer to Question 1: Scuba diving
I’ve thought about skydiving, but it’s scary (laugh). I often see people do it on TV and so on, but I definitely don’t think I could do it. Whenever I see fish in a tank, I wonder “What are you thinking about?” “Are you feeling okay?” and I end up staring at them intently. So I’d like to try spending time with the fish (laugh).
Answer to Question 2: Born again as a woman
If I was born as a woman, I think it would be interesting to try living in a different way. For example, something like deskwork…I’d like to try something that’s entirely the opposite of what I’m doing now.

Date: 2008-05-31 03:44 pm (UTC)I think it's kind of interesting that the ones who say they would want to be a man, say it's because they've already been a woman, and the ones that want to be a woman, say it's because they want to be really *girly* women next time, and already feel like being an otokoyaku is like being a man. *g*
