I shake my fist out at Takraazuka-an for taking all my money.  However, they also provide me with so many shiny things that I of course love them.  They're like that proverbial box of chocolates.  You don't know what you're going to get, but it's always tasty.

First was the photobook section.  Why was it that there are so many Takumi Hibiki/Maya Miki/etc. books and not a single one on Rika in the Tokyo Takarazuka-an?  I did, however, find the Le Cinq for Luna/Blue Moon Blue, which made me happy.

The VHS section, however, was where I lucked out.  I found Practical Joke and Great Pirates/Jazzmania for about 1800 and 3000 yen respectively.  I'm not sure if either show is rare, but given that Hankyu is no longer producing VHS they're both out of print.  And I got them cheap ^_^

I paid for my stuff and then went to look at the VHS section one more time, and that's when I found The Energy 5.  The Energy 5, for those of you who don't know, contains the Luna shinjikouen digest.  With baby Kiriyan and Tani.  It was 3000 yen for what would basically amount to a half an hour of footage, but I bought it anyway.  Plus I'll probably end up watching the other shinjikouen digests on the tape.

So overall it was a good haul, even if my wallet is annoyed at me.

When I was in Quatre Reves Friday I finally saw the talking Mizu Elisabeth clock.  If you hit it once (I think when the alarm goes off), it plays "Watashi dake ni."  When you hit it again (I guess the snooze button?), it says something along the lines of "Good morning.  It's time.  Good luck!"

So it's not "Shineba ii?", which would have been funnier, but hey, you're still getting Mizu waking you up in the morning.  I, however, will probably not end up with one.  I find whatever plays on my morning alarm I end up hating ^_^;

Score!

I love Takarazuka-an.  There's no gurantee that what you want will be there (especially if you wait until the next time to come back and get it), but you can find some really cool stuff.  Today I walked away with Tani's Personal Book 1 and Saeko's Kishin book.

There's a picture of Tani dressed up as Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, which once again makes me wish I had a scanner (or that I could get anything that plugs into my USB port to work >_<).  I think I'm starting to agree with [personal profile] princesslucia's opinion on the TakaWiki shopping guide that the photography in the first series is the best.  I still have love for the second series, though, as it has brought me such joyful things as Kiriyan with Finch in a tuxedo.  And Kiriyan and Tani as gangsters (or at least I think that's what they were.  They had guns).  Really, you can't go wrong with photobooks.  But why exactly is it that Yuuhi's Personal Book II is out of print?  Did they only make a certain number of copies or something?  I guess there will be more trips to Takarazuka-an in my future.  I am, of course, deeply curious as to who from tsukigumi will end up with a book in the third series.

Did Rika ever get some kind of a photobook or sayonara book?

I think

[personal profile] ekusudei already posted about this in her journal, but since I'm bored at work...

I'm off to Quatre Reves after school today to pick up the DVDs that my mom is letting me buy for watashi no tanjoubi.  I'm psyched because not only will I have more shiny, but I believe the 07 Yukigumi Elisabeth Le Cinq is also out.  Unfortunately I probably won't be able to watch said shiny for a couple of days since this weekend is pretty busy.  It's sad that I haven't had a chance to watch A/L all the way through yet either, but I blame this largely on Lost leaving me brain dead last night.

So I talked to my mom and she said I could get two Grand Theater shows for my birthday.  I think I'm going to go with soragumi's Phantom and tsukigumi's Rome at Dawn/Les Bijoux Brilliants, which I think is what I originally had been planning on.

However, thank you to everyone who responded to that post.  I now have a lot of suggestions for things to buy in the future (some of which wouldn't have occurred to me on my own) and I really appreciate them.  As much as the cost is frustrating, it is pretty exciting when I am able to acquire something.

Hmm...

So it's my birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, and my mom asked me what I wanted.  I asked if she would sponsor me for a couple of Zuka DVDs and she said that would be cool.

Granted, it's a couple of weeks until my birthday, but a girl can dream, right?  I therefore ask you, gentle friends list, your opinions on what I need if I have the chance to get a couple of DVDs?  (Exactly how many remains to be seen by the parental unit, but most likely 2-3 depending on how much each is).

-Akatsuki no Roma/Les Bijoux Brilliants
-Oklahoma!
-Sweet and Chic (Kiriyan's dinner show)
-Phantom (Soragumi version)
-Jazzy Fairies/Revue of Dreams

Right now I think I'd lean towards Akatsuki no Roma and Soragumi's Phantom, but does anyone have any recommendations one way or another?  Is there anything really brilliant in terms of Tsukigumi that I'm missing out on, or from other troupes?  (For anyone who is interested, this is a list of what I've already seen).
