The Second Life review

There were some parts of the choreography that I really liked. Not all of it, but enough for me to give the choreography my stamp of approval. I really, really liked the theme song and the song that Micchan plays on the piano. The rest of the songs were forgettable, but nothing stood out in my mind as being bad.
The suits the various members of the mafia wore were hot. Oh, and fedoras. I was trying to figure out if any of them were recycled from Fancy Dance. Regardless, it was a similar kind of style.
Moving onto the siennes…
Micchan: Oh my God, I’m in love with this woman. This show was basically two hours of Micchan getting to be her wonderful, dorky self, which is always hilarious. Even when she was playing Jake the hitman, she couldn’t help but be a little dorky. But more than that, though, she got to show off what a beautiful voice she has. When the show did get serious, she was able to prove her acting chops as well. I get the impression The Second Life was written for her, because it really played to her strengths. I (obviously) really hope Hankyu continues to promote her. I came to see this show for Micchan and I was NOT disappointed.

I know, ^_^! Every revue I see them do, it always looks ridiculously odd or just plain silly, but when you put Bow Hall in the mix, you are well assured that you are going to watch Theatre Of The Absurd right about now.
