Takarazuka Anonymous Research 2006: Tsukigumi

I've translated the article "Takarazuka Anonymous Research 2006."  Unfortunately the way it's formatted makes it difficult to post to Live Journal.  For the moment I've uploaded it to sendspace, so you can download it as a Word document there.  caithion has kindly agreed to let me put it up on her server, but I want to wait a couple of days to fix any mistakes (right now I really just want to get the darn thing posted).

But, despite the fact that you need to do the extra work of downloading a document file, you should totally read it because it took me forever to translate it and figure out the formatting!  There's Yuuhi, Kiriyan, Micchan, and Morie acting silly!  Morie has really nice muscles!  Yuuhi can't remember whether or not she ate popcorn in Guys and Dolls!  Kiriyan likes humming songs from Nightmare Before Christmas!  Micchan likes taking her own picture!  And you should comment afterwards to entertain me during the times when I steal the internet at work tomorrow.  It'll give me a reason to live through my ichinensei classes.

Oh, and here's the preview blurb: "Four Moon Troupe otokoyaku are assigned to research a fellow Moon Troupe otokoyaku anonymously.  Each otokoyaku is asked questions by their anonymous researcher, and from the questions asked must guess the identity of their researcher."

Ah, that makes sense. (I was thinking that maybe they took pictures so they could compare how it looked to their makeup the previous day or something?) But I think your explanation makes more sense.

The soragumi one looks really cute. I think three out of four of them got it wrong (even the sienne who was “120% sure” that her answer was right…can’t remember who that was, though).

The translation itself reads very well, and the contents are so much love!! Morie's "Why do you know this?" was hilarious and so was everyone's take on each other's "charm point" - though, Kiriyan's charm point for Micchan just about deaded me. XDDD

Oh, me too. What’s even more depressing is reading my copy of The Takarazuka II: Tsukigumi and seeing how many people have since transferred or retired. I guess that’s the ephemeral nature of Takarazuka, though.

so glad you finished translating this! i remember reading some of it back when I got the graph but I was lazy and never finished. The popcorn thing totally confused me back when I read it. I love that Kiriyan talks to pictures of Finch...can't say I've ever done that and I'm a freak for my dogs too. I had other comments but 9 hours at work has rendered my brain dead.

Yes Kiriyan wins the dog crazy award for talking to pictures...I haven't hit that point...though 90% of things I talk about end up being about the dogs ^^;;

Haha, Micchan's reaction in trying to figure out who was her researcher. And Yuuhi! My love for Yuuhi just grows in leaps and bounds. I think Yuuhi is one of those "silently mischievous" types, whereas everyone just automatically assumes that Asako is up to something. (I get this feeling because everyone assumes I'm always up to something too. I'll just be smiling, and one of my friends will ask "what are you up to??? T_T )

Yuuhi and her cat! After reading all the dog person siennes, finally, a cat person! :D I guess no play dates with Finch then ^^ And er, she notices Kiriyan's well toned legs? I guess you can't help but compare legs when you're in a dancing company ^^

Hehe, Yuuhi trying to throw off suspicion by asking a pet question, making it to be as if it's from Kiriyan is sneaky ^^ Actually all of them were pretty sneaky by trying to make as if someone else asked a certain question, by getting information from other people about their target's habits. Micchan wins though, by asking the popcorn question :D

And yes, now that it's mentioned, I can see the resemblance between Morie and Winnie the Pooh ^_^
